Crown and Bridge

Milford, MA Dentist

What are dental crowns?

A dental crown is a porcelain, metal, or gold “cap” that covers the surface of the tooth, which completely restores the crown of the affected tooth. Crowns are usually placed if there is extensive dental decay, or following a root canal procedure. Crowns provide a long-term solution for restoring the function and beauty of your teeth.

Each crown is created exclusively for you, to ensure the best possible fit and look for your smile. Crowns usually require two appointments to complete. On your first appointment, you will leave with a temporary crown while our dental lab creates your permanent crown. On the second visit, you will receive your permanent crown and we will check to ensure that it fits functionally and aesthetically.

What are dental bridges?

A dental bridge is similar to a crown, but it can have one or more teeth “linked” together to fill spaces in your mouth caused by missing teeth.

Typically, dental bridges require two appointments to complete. On your first visit, a temporary bridge will be created while our dental lab makes your permanent bridge. On your second visit to your dentist in Milford, MA, you will receive your permanent bridge and we will inspect it for beauty and function.
