When should my child get their first dentist appointment?

At 222 Main Street Dental, we strive to make sure that your children are able to take the best bite out of life possible!

It is recommended by both The American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry that your child should see their friendly neighborhood dentist within 6 months of their first tooth coming in, but to not wait longer than their first birthday. Our Milford dentists at 222 Main Street love kids, and are trained to provide a wide range of services that ensure your child is completely taken care of!

Our team is passionate about instilling healthy dental habits at a young age, because learning them early on means your children have more time to practice them, and practice makes perfect! It is incredibly vital that you, too, are encouraging these habits at home. If they see you taking care of your teeth they’ll want to as well, which will give them the best possible outcome in the future.

When your child first visits our office, we’ll discuss a variety of treatments used to prevent cavities, such as topical fluoride varnish applications and dental sealants. We’re also here to help with hygiene coaching for both children and expectant mothers, and to answer any and all questions you might have. It is so incredibly important to us that any confusion, worries, or concerns are taken care of for you.

Your dentists at 222 Main Street Dental are also trained to be able to meet any and all needs for patients that deal with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
